Marlen Moggach's interest in pottery has been long standing but an opportunity to develop it did not present itself until 1991. I took a course in ceramics at that time and clay took over my life!

The rural village setting that is my home usually exerts an influence on my work in some way....be it form or surface treatment.

My work consists of reduction fired stoneware.....functional art to enhance your daily and entertaining needs.  I also work in raku, creating decorative sculptural pieces for both wall and table.

I have been an active member of the Waterloo Potters' Workshop since 1992 and I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University, Montreal.

Please Note: For Non-Members by successfully completing the beginner's wheel and handbuilding classes you will be eligible to becoming a full member of the Waterloo Potters' Workshop.  If you are an experienced potter then contacting a member of board and showing your work can also qualify you for joining the workshop, if room is available.  Visit the About Us page to get contact details for the workshop.
