Sandra Zuidema, will be sharing her pottery journey, her best practices and will be
giving a piercing demonstration with you in the morning. The afternoon is set for you
create your own pierced work, from design to the finished product. As you immerse
yourself in the process, you will come away with new methods and inspiration that will
carry over into your daily work.
To participate in the afternoon of hands-on piercing: 1 -2 small to medium leather-hard pots (with thin, even walls) to pierce. Ideas for patterns/designs, a sharp pencil, water spray bottles, round yellow sponge, a ruler and pin tool. If you are able, please also bring the following: a fine exact-o knife or Dolan knife, a decorating disk, carving tools, and a banding wheel. In addition, bring a light lunch/snack/juice or coffee.
