This course is the mandatory educational component for the newly standardized
Apprenticeship Program for Firing the Electric Kilns. This class is also open to members who have already completed their apprenticeship but would like to refresh their knowledge.
You'll gain the confidence and a knowledge base to then complete your apprenticeship required for being able to fire electric kilns at the workshop. Learn how to program the larger kilns and how the manual kiln works.
Students start right away being hands on loading and firing.
Please bring your unfired pots, both glazed bisque and green ware to the class. Firing is included in class fee.
