Spring Pottery Fling Online Wheel Class
March 11 - April 15, 2023
Chase away the winter doldrums with a fun wheel course focused on spring things! Create vases and planters focusing on shape and how flowers will display, on the wheel in this 6 week online course.
Join June Macdonald Saturday afternoons from the comfort of your own home studio. We’ll explore shapes, solving problems and have fun making vases based on Ikebana principles, including from enclosed forms! This class will also cover trimming and decorating options and is open to changes or additions based on what the class wants to cover.
**This class is eligible for a $100 rebate upon providing feedback from each class as part of the E-Clay Project!
● Throwing: wire tool, wooden throwing stick or metal trimming tool, metal rib, rubber/silicone ribs, bats if you want to throw larger items, sponge and bowl, towel and/or apron.
● Trimming: metal trimming tool, bamboo stick.
● Plastic, wareboards, etc for storage
● Clay of course!
● Smartphone or laptop to view and join in the online class!
Classes will be conducted over Zoom with recordings made available for participants.
**This class is part of the e-Clay Learning and Teaching Project (https://www.e-claylearning.ca/), made possible by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. Participants will receive a course fee rebate of $100 for taking part and providing feedback after each lesson.
